This video updates the status of the former Metro-8 Theater, the future home of our Gymnastics and Performing Arts Academy currently in development in Indio.

Thanks to the valuable input we received from community engagement meetings and visits to local schools, we’ve been able to shape plans that reflect your ideas and excitement. In the video, DRD’s Public Information Officer and Legislative Affairs representative Scott Sear, along with Public Works Director Troy Strange, walk us through the vision for this highly anticipated facility and share a sneak peek at what’s to come.

Working alongside our partners at GO Architects, we developed renderings based on community feedback. The project is now moving into the funding phase, a key step in bringing this vision to life.
