It was a perfect day for our Groundbreaking event for Thermal Community Park! We are excited to begin building this park, which will be the first park in Thermal!

We thank all who attended, especially the community members of Thermal. We appreciate the support of Supervisor V. Manuel Perez who spoke about the importance of parks at the event.

Other speakers included DRD General Manager Kevin Kalman, DRD Board Vice President Natalia Gonzalez, Past Assemblymember Eduardo Garcia, Chair of the Thermal-Oasis Community Council Ernie Rios, as well as Emcee Dr. Frances Esparza (CVUSD Superintendent) who have all championed the creation of this park.

The event was a festive celebration, featuring music by Mariachi Estrella,  a dance performance from Desert Mirage High School, and delicious food was provided by Tower Market.
